Can Mascort Eco Hotel, on the Costa Brava
In the historic center of Palafrugell, a town of medieval origin, just 4km from the beaches of the Costa Brava, is located Can Mascort.
Upon arrival, we find a 17th century house, carefully rehabilitated under bioconstruction and energy efficiency criteria, complying with hotel and heritage regulations on protected buildings.
The reform preserves the original structure of the building, with 50cm thick stone walls, vaulted ceilings and frescoes on walls and ceilings.
Besides, integrates a bioclimatic design, that uses solar heat, bets on efficient ventilation and integrates a air quality management system, from the temperature, humidity and CO₂ of each room.

“The renovation and use of traditional construction systems, like the calicostrated wall, allow you to control the temperature thanks to its great thermal inertia.

The Agotzenea project is led by Ander and Urtzi, two young people from Zubiri who in 2017 They decided to create this micro cooperative with the desire to disseminate bioconstruction and offer the world a place of reference and inspiration..

Hotel Rural Amalurra de Artzentales, in Bizkaia
Surrounded by mountains and forests we find the Hotel Rural Amalurra, in Artzentales, Bizkaia, pioneer in its area in terms of environmental care and energy efficiency.
The project started a few years ago, with the land regeneration, the planting more than 5.000 native trees and the land preparation and water channeling for the development of garden areas, orchards and new forests.
